Sandplay activities in nurseries in Portsaid 


Point 1: Children’s development that can be promoted through sand play activities (according to the 6 domains in Nursery Quality Standards of Ministry of Social Solidarity)

Point 2: Facilitators efforts for enhancing children’s sand play

 

Physical environment

Facilitators provide sufficient amount of water for children to mix it with sand; enabling them to make different shapes using sand

Facilitators prepare toys with recycled materials to have sufficient number and variety of toys for children

 Point 4: Facilitators efforts for safety and cleanliness of sand play environment

They also repel animals from sandpits with natural materials (citrus, mint,etc)

Facilitators cover sandpits while not in use

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Facilitators remove any dirty or dangerous things in the sand with sieves,  turn sand over with shovels to soften it and expose it to sunshine for sanitation
